Pizza Pasta Bake

Courtesy of Tastefully Simple

You will need:

  • 12 ounces uncooked rotini pasta
  • 3/4 cup mini turkey pepperoni (I didn’t add pepperoni)
  • 8 ounces ground Italian turkey sausage or pork sausage (I opted to use ground beef instead)
  • 1 (15 ounce) container whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 packet Cheesy Pizza Warm Dip Mix
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

First, preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. In a greased 13 x 9-inch baking dish, layer uncooked pasta and pepperoni. Pinch off bite-size pieces of sausage and place over top of pasta. Dollop with ricotta cheese.

Next, in a large bowl, whisk together crushed tomatoes, water and the dip mix. Evenly pour this mixture over pasta. Cover and bake 40 minutes.

Last, stir and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Continue baking, uncovered, 15 to 20 minutes or until the pasta is desired doneness.

This makes 6 servings.

My version using ground beef
